Furniture safes (freestanding)
Freestanding safes, sometimes also called furniture safes, are universal safes that one can place almost everywhere. For safes up to 500 kg, it is necessary to have a firm connection to the floor or the surrounding masonry, preferably both, if possible! For safes with more than 500 kg, a firm anchorage is recommended as well.
The control (that is unlocking and locking) takes place in three ways: mechanically with a key, mechanically with a decoding wheel, electronically - resp. electromechanically with a keypad.
While in simpler and smaller safe types, which have an internal wheelbase mechanism small in size with a small number of friction surfaces, the control of the internal barrier system is directly coupled to the key rotation, for larger vaults the key mechanism unlocks the control handle which is directly connected to the wheelbase mechanism. The same applies to the vernier coding wheel system or the electronic coding keyboard.
A combination of two security elements is typical for safes of higher security classes. They can have: a key and a coding wheel, the key and an electronic lock, two keys and the el. lock, etc.

Note: inner size, other supplementary measures, data and parameters given for all safe categories may vary slightly from the actual product to those on this site due to the manufacturing tolerances of engineering production. For variants with a door handle, its height protruding from the door plane is excluded from the overall external depth of the safe. The description of the safes may differ slightly from the picture in:
- the number of shelves
- handrail design
- the number of locking points
- design of electronic lock keypad
Manufacturers possess the right to improve product performance. The basic classification into safety classes is guaranteed by appropriate certificates from state accredited testing laboratories (TREZOR TEST s.r.o.).
